On April 13th 2012, Beijing Higher People’s Court held the “Open Day” event. More than 30 deputies of National People’s Congress, members of CPPCC, student representatives and media representatives participated the event of the Higher People’s Court. At 9:30 am, Beijing Higher People’s Court chose the second-instance trial of Coca-Cola’s administrative litigation on the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board (we won in the first-instance trial and the unconvinced Trademark Review and Adjudication Board appealed) as the open court of the event. Lawyer Zhang Hong and lawyer Li Shuhua of Janlea Law Firm participated the trial as attorneys of Coca-cola Company. Jiang Shan observed the trial. After more than one hour of trial, the Court gave the ruling that the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board’s reasons for appealing were not sound, whereas Coca-Cola’s reasons for defense were tenable. The Court refused the appeal and affirmed the initial ruling.
The dozens of representatives observed the entire trial and conversed with judges of the trial afterwards.
Lawyers of Janlea, once again, secured the lawful rights of their client.
