Introduction：on December 12, 2016, the Supreme People's Court of the Judicial Committee passed the “Provisions on Several Issues Concerning the Trial of Administrative Cases of Trademark Authorities”,  which is consisted of 31 articles, passed the “Provisions on Several Issues Concerning the Trial of Administrative Cases of Trademark Authorities “which is consisted of 31 articles; it mainly involves the protection of ‘prior rights’ (substantive contents) such as the scope of examination, the judgment of significant features, the protection of well-known trademarks, the copyrights and the right of name, and so on.  It also clarifies the important issues involved in the administrative cases of trademark authorization and the difficult issues in trial practice. The Provisions shall come into force on March 1, 2017. Meanwhile, in order to meet the third revision of the Trademark Law, to further standardize and better implement the work in trademark review and trademark examination, the Trademark Office and the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board have revised the Trademark Review and Approval Standards.

In order to help the tier one staffs to understand, and maneuver the relevant content and legal application of the "Provisions on Several Issues Concerning the Trial of Administrative Cases of Trademark Authorization" and "Trademark Review and Trial Standards", the Trademark Department of Beijing Janlea Trademark Office organized three training sessions for the operational departments in March and April of 2017. Mr. Zhang Hong (Director of the Janlea Law Firm, Deputy General Manager of the Trademark Office), Mr. Xu Jin (Senior Trademark Attorney, Senior Lawyer) and Ms. Li Shuhua (Manager) are invited as the presenter. Mr. Zhang Hong conducted the first lecture on March 30, 2017. The managers, trademark attorneys and senior assistant from all operational departments attended this lecture.

The topic of this lecture is “The Understanding and Application of the ‘Provisions on Trademark Authorization and Ascertainment’ of the Supreme Court”. Mr. Zhang Hong explained the "provisions" in all-direction, and attracted the enthusiastic discussion of the participants. The lecture lasted for two hours and achieved good results.

The purpose of this training has been fulfilled，The attorneys and other member of staffs have a more in-depth understanding as to the just implemented "provisions".
