On the morning of September 2nd., at Guilin International Conference and Exhibition Center, Vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Eleventh National People's Congress, Zhou Tienong， announced that CTF 2017 is opening. Chief of Trademark Office, Liu Junchen, and Deputy Director General of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region people's Congress, Gao Xiong, with some relevant leaders, representatives of Chinese and foreign intellectual property entrepreneurs, intellectual property experts and scholars, and agents&agencies attend the opening ceremony.
 

On the afternoon of September 2nd., China trademark brand Festival parallel meeting six and trademark malicious registration seminar were holding at multi-function hall on two floor of Guilin International Conference and Exhibition Center. The meeting was held by the Academic Committee of agent branch of the China Trademark Association, with the theme of “the most effective way to suppress malicious registered trademark actions in current environment——brainstorming of trademark industry community”. Suchi, the Chief justice of Beijing IP Court, and Wangpeizhang, the secretary-general of China Trademark Association attended the meeting. The attendees also contained the experts from Beijing IP court and from Trademark Review and Adjudication Board and Trademark Office, the represent of two enterprises and expert committee members. The experts had a brainstorm at conference around the theme of meeting. The vice general manager of Beijing Janlea Trademark Agent, Zhanghong attended the seminar as the member of expert committee. Zhanghong made his comments on deterring malicious trademark registration, on cultivating good faith consciousness, on strengthening the purpose of trademark use, on curbing unfair trademark transactions and on self-discipline of agencies. Zhanghong’s lecture received a warm response of the delegates. 

The meeting scheduled to end at 4:30 was extended until 5:30 because the experts keep coming up with new ideas and suggestions. After a lot of communication and discussion, further consensus has been formed on how to stop, to deter, to punish the trademark malicious registering action. The meeting was a complete success. It is a significant attempt by the court, Trademark Review and Adjudication Board (TRAB), Trademark Office, agencies and enterprises to brainstorm a theme.
